- Additional information
BROFIL 63 is a high purity alloy composed of 63% tin and 37%
lead. This alloy meets the standards of ISO 9453: 2015, alloy 102. It is manufactured using a special process that controls that oxides and other metallic and non-metallic impurities are not included during manufacturing. A common application for this alloy is to make permanent and reversible connections between copper pipes and plumbing systems. The higher the tin concentration, the higher the shear and tensile strength. Furthermore, this alloy can be used for joining electrical components, soldering PCBs, soldering copper plates and pipes, and other general-purpose soldering. PRODUCT VALUE ADDED n Eutectic alloy (liquidus temperature = solidus temperature) n Very good wetting and flow properties. n Good electrical conductivity. Formats: n Round rods of 6×400 mm. n 4x9x400 mm square rods. n 12x24x400 mm rectangular rods. ** Consult other formats.
